SOCIALLY CONSCIOUS STYLIST ATTEMPTS TO SAVE DARFUR
NEW YORK—Corin Wright, creator of the new and trendy fashion boutique, Style Haven, is hosting fund raiser for Save Darfur at the Alvin Ailey Dance Studio on November 10, 2007 from 8 p.m. until 12 a.m.

 

Over 350,000 people of Darfur, a village located in the western region of the Sudan, are estimated to be killed within the next few months becuase of the genocidal behavior of the Arab militia, Janjaweed. A portion of the event's proceeds will be donated to the Save Darfur Coalition to support political advocacy efforts and to selected humanitarian organizations to support relief efforts.

 

"I'm excited and proud to host such an event," said creator of Style Haven and fund raiser hostess, Corin Wright. "The people of Darfur need our help and I'm happy to do whatever I can." Corin isn't the only VIP supporter of Save Darfur, there are many high profile supporters to Save Darfur, such as actors Don Cheadle and Samuel L. Jackson.

The fund raiser will include raffles, silents auctions and much more. Attendees of the event will also have an opportunity to view the new holiday merchandise to be featured at Style Haven.
